ToDo-App für iOS: Clear, der Hype
Recht hat er. Hab die App selber kurz angetestet und ja, die App ist ganz schick anzusehen. Nutzbar ist sie aber (für mich) nicht.
Ich war selber gerade auf der Suche nach einer guten To-Do App, da Things ja bis vor kurzem noch kein vernünftiges Syncen zwischen den Geräten konnte (WLAN-Sync ist mir zu ‘99).
Was kann Clear?
- To-Dos nach Priorität sortieren.
- To-Dos in Listen sortieren.
Thats it. Kein Fälligkeitsdatum, keine Wiederkehrenden Aufgaben, keine Möglichkeiten weiter zu sortieren, Tags oder Notizen hinzuzufügen. Badges aufm Springboard? Irgendwelche Notifications? Fehlanzeige.
Die App ist minimalistisch und schick anzusehen, aber wirklich nutzbar ist sie, finde ich, nicht.

-webkit-prefixes (a subset). Sad, but true. It’s an amazingly bad idea, and I’d love to be wrong, but browsers are like bulldozers, they’ll go where they want and more importantly: need to go.

Paul Irish mal wieder über das (leidige) Thema, ob Webseiten in allen Browsern gleich aussehen sollen.
Er sagt (in etwa): Nein. Sollen Sie nicht. Die sollten aber in allen Browsern gut sein. Im Fernsehen ist doch auch nicht alles S/W, nur weil es vielleicht noch ein paar alte S/W Fernseher gibt… (und anders herum wird einem S/W Fernseher auch keine Farbe aufgezwungen)

Without your help, without a strong reaction, this can lead to one thing only and we’re dangerously not far from there: other browsers will start supporting/implementing themselves the -webkit-* prefix, turning one single implementation into a new world-wide standard. It will turn a market share into a de facto standard, a single implementation into a world-wide monopoly. Again. It will kill our standardization process. That’s not a question of if, that’s a question of when.
Webkit ist super, aber das wollen wir, glaube ich, alle nicht.
